Aidar Gazimov's main scientific activity is aimed at the development of theoretical foundations for enhanced oil production from heterogeneous reservoirs at late development stage.
Under his leadership and with his direct participation, innovative technologies for oil recovery improvement have been designed, the production of chemical products has been organized and innovative oil recovery enhancement technologies have been implemented and are used by the following major oil producing companies: NK LUKOIL, PJSC Tatneft, NK Rosneft, NK RussNeft, JSC Neftisa, JSC Slavneft, JSC Ritek, PJSC Bashneft, etc.
He was born in Bugulma (Republic of Tatarstan) on March 25, 1969, in family of oil industry worker.
In 1994, he graduated from the Oil Faculty of Kazan National Research Technological University in Chemical Technology of Fuel and Carbon Materials and qualified as a production chemist.
From 1994 to 2002, he worked in Oilfield Chemicals Scientific Research Institute JSC (NII Neftepromchim, Kazan), first as an engineer in the department of application technology for physical and chemical EOR methods, then as a junior researcher and from 2000 as a senior researcher.
From 2002 to 2008, he was a leading specialist and CEO of Idzhat Research and Production Company.
From 2008, he has been CEO of Idzhat.
In 1999, he defended his masters of sciences thesis in Engineering Science entitled Enhancing Efficiency during the Development of the Uzen Field Using Selective Impact on Oil-Water Saturated Formation.
In 2004, he defended his Ph.D. thesis in Engineering Science entitled Regulation of Non-Uniform Water-Flooded Oil Deposits Using Sediment- and Gel-Forming Technologies.
He is an author of more than 60 published works and manuscripts, including 16 patents and 6 scientific books.
