Reagent Description

It is used in the oil industry as a thickener in drilling muds, in water shutoff compositions, for intensification of processes of drilling mud cleaning from cuttings, in enhanced oil recovery technologies, and for leveling the profile log of injection wells.

Water-soluble polymers based on (co)polymers of acrylamide (PAA) are solid granules or powder of white, grayish-white or yellowish color. PAA is a synthetic polymer with high molecular weight. PAA grades differ by physical and chemical properties, such as: molecular weight, degree of hydrolysis, water solubility, solution viscosity, resistance to various types of degradation and filtration characteristics. Polyacrylamides are used in enhanced oil recovery technologies for flooded reservoirs as a part of polymer-disperse systems and their modifications.
