Reagent Description

The optimal content of aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons has a high impact on the effectiveness of solid hydrocarbon deposits in the bottomhole zone of production wells, as well as on the highly viscous mass (sludge) generated in injection wells. The dissolving capacity of the Delta solvent is up to 98% by weight with respect to ARPD.

Delta solvent is a highly soluble universal agent with respect to ARPD generated in oil production wells and pipelines. There are two brands: Delta-C and Delta-K. The brand is chosen depending on the asphalt, resin, and paraffin deposits. DELTA solvent doesn't affect commercial crude oil and injected water treatment processes.

Results of Use

179 Tatneft production and injection wells were treated using both ordinary workover schemes or installing Coiled Tubing flexible pipes. The use of Delta solvent helped to restore rates of pickup injection wells and the rates of production wells, to keep reservoir pressure at a predetermined level, to achieve projected oil recovery, and, overall, adjust and optimize the state of development of sites, blocks and oil reservoirs.

Delta solvent consumption for bottom-hole treatment of production wells ranged from 1 to 8 t per treatment. Specific consumption of Delta solvent was 3.1 m3 for bottom-hole treatment of injection wells and 7.7 m3 for intake wells. Injection capacity of injection wells grew 6.2 fold on average. Average injection pressure during the treatment decreased from 88 to 78 atm. Absorption wells that did not take water restored their pickup rates, and after treatment with Delta solvent, the injection pressure decreased from 80 to 47 atm.

If injection and production wells are processed using Coiled Tubing using Delta solvent, both with or without the use of acid treatment, the injection capacity of wells increased on average 11.5 fold, and with the simultaneous use of Delta solvent and acid, it increased 13 fold on average.
